About Pastor Ed Reynolds; Sr. Pastor

Edward Reynolds was born in Houston, Texas and was raised in Port Arthur, Texas. He graduated from Port Arthur Thomas Jefferson High School in 1985. After high school, Pastor Reynolds, like many young adults was unsure what his future might hold, and his dreams was to move to California and pursue a career as a comedian. These plans were derailed, however, by unfortunately becoming involved in some lifestyle choices that would make his life very difficult. He was able to acquire employment with several major companies in the Houston area, during these times. Little did Pastor Reynolds know that God was ordering his steps through these experiences. During this period of time in his life, Pastor Reynolds, unfortunately was involved in some unrighteousness, in spite of being raised in church since he was a little boy. His spirit longed for a place where he could actually learn how to apply the Word to his life, and he once told his mother, “I am not going to church, until I can find somewhere that teaches me the Word!”

Through some divine connections at one of his jobs, Pastor Reynolds was introduced to Bishop I.V. Hilliard and New Light Christian Center Church in Houston, TX. He immediately joined and became a member. Pastor Reynolds began to develop under the teaching ministry of Bishop Hilliard. He became a “sponge of the Word” and began to grow in Christ. At the time, even though he was now saved, his life was still tough due to the consequences of some of his choices before allowing Jesus Christ to

become the Lord of his life. He began to immerse himself in teaching tapes, and having fellowship with the Holy Spirit in his modest apartment in North Houston. Pastor Reynolds was a volunteer at New Light and served as an usher. It was during this time, that he learned servanthood and faithfulness.
After several years of volunteering at the ministry, Pastor Reynolds became involved in Life Change Institute, as an employee, and ultimately served as the director of this drug rehabilitation center. This center allowed men and women from all across the country to receive treatment for 90 days where they learned the Word of God and how to overcome their addictions. His leadership was instrumental in helping thousands of men and women overcome the drug addictions that hindered their lives.
During his time as the Director of Life Change Institute, Pastor Reynolds saw his ministry responsibilities grow at New Light. God was leading Bishop Hilliard to start an extension church in Austin, TX. Even though there were more seasoned candidates that Bishop Hilliard could have selected, God had spoken to him and told him that Ed Reynolds was the man! In 2001, New Light established a church in the Capital City of Texas and Pastor Reynolds preaching and teaching ministry had started. Over the next 15 years, Pastor Reynolds served as the Extension Pastor of the Austin location of New Light. He handled this assignment with grace, integrity, and excellence. The membership grew in Austin to over 500 members during this time. However, God had spoken to Pastor Reynolds that he had a calling on his life to use his unique gifts to start a church and be a blessing to the Kingdom of God, and the Central Texas community using his humor, life experiences, and the ability to translate the Bible into terms that ALL who hear can understand. Over a 15 year period, his love for the Austin community has grown, and his desire is to see all people experience God’s best in every area of their lives. On November 27, 2016, The Love Center Bible Fellowship was launched to impact the lives of people in Austin, TX.
Pastor Reynolds, during his time at New Light, met the beautiful Vicky Printers, and they were married in 2000. Sis. Vicky has supported Pastor Reynolds faithfully for 18 years, as he served as the pastor of New Light. Now that the vision of The Love Center Bible Fellowship (TLC) and Ed Reynolds Ministries has come to fruition, she will continue to play an integral part. Pastor Reynolds credits his success in ministry to the favor of God that he has experienced as a result of “finding a good thing” in his wife.
